Scent story

To me this smells like standing under a fig tree in a sleepy orchard an hour after rain. The air is green and wet, leaves dripping, and a burst of mandarin from a fruit cart nearby cuts through with sharp citrus light. I press my palm to a split fig and it smells creamy and honeyed, pulp and skin and milk. Later the resinous green comes back — mastic tears crushed between fingers, galbanum bitter and earthy like a garden after the hose has been turned off. It is elegance without trying, a slow Sunday afternoon you can wear. Beginner-friendly.
