Composition
Released in 2006. Orange blossom, ginger, cardamom and orange open into tuberose, cloves, cinnamon, woods and olibanum, over leather, musk, amber and tonka. A dark, spicy floral for the night.
To me this smells like midnight in a Goan jazz bar — orange blossom and ginger on the first breath, then the lights go down and the tuberose takes over, thick and narcotic as a saxophone solo. Cloves and cinnamon smolder underneath like the last coals in a hookah. The woods arrive dark and resinous — sandalwood, cedar, olibanum — and then leather, smooth and dangerous, settling over everything like a hand on the back of your neck. Amber and tonka warm it from below, musk keeping it skin-close and indecent. This is night as a verb. It does things to the air. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
