Composition
La Petite Robe Noire Nectar is a feminine eau de parfum from Guerlain. It opens with Macarons, Almond and Bergamot. The heart reveals Honey, Bulgarian Rose and Turkish Rose settling into a base of Tonka Bean and Patchouli. Its character is defined by Sweet, Almond and Honey accords.
To me this smells like a Parisian pâtisserie at opening time — macarons and almond sweet in the first breath, bergamot sparkling like the glass counter. Then honey, thick and golden, pours over Bulgarian and Turkish rose, petals and syrup colliding. Tonka and patchouli at the base are warm and a little dark, like the wooden floor of the shop. It is dessert as couture — sweet, yes, but make it fashion. Bergamot's sparkle at the top keeps all that honey from getting heavy. Beginner-friendly.
