Composition
Jasmin 17 is Le Labo's 2006 modern jasmine by Maurice Roucel, created as an alternative to old-fashioned floral signatures. Bitter orange and neroli open into jasmine sambac, orange blossom and palmarosa, over a majestically harmonious chord of musk, sandalwood, vanilla and amber. Crisp, sensual and unforgettable.
This is jasmine for people who think jasmine is their grandmother's perfume — Maurice Roucel rebuilt it from the ground up. Bitter orange and neroli open bright and almost masculine, green and sparkling, and then the jasmine sambac arrives: not the heavy Indian-malli bomb, but a modern, airy jasmine with orange blossom and palmarosa lifting it like light through leaves. Vanilla, musk, sandalwood, and amber in the base give it a majestic warmth that lasts for hours. It is the rare floral that feels both classic and completely now. Understated, luminous, quietly perfect. Beginner-friendly.
