Composition
Memo Paris's 2008 Les Échappées fragrance; 'Jannat' means paradise in Urdu. A unisex citrus-floral EDP built around grapefruit oil, orange blossom and ginger, created by Alienor Massenet.
Jannat opens like a burst of laughter in a sunlit courtyard — grapefruit oil and Tunisian lemon fizzing over bergamot, all lift and sparkle. Then the orange blossom and neroli arrive, creamy tropical flowers (frangipani) swirling in, and the whole thing turns soft and airy. There's a breath of ginger for youthfulness and a featherbed of tonka and musk underneath. In India's heat this is a morning scent — cheerful, weightless, gone by lunch but lovely while it lasts. Very beginner-friendly; hard to dislike.
