Scent story

To me this is a leather workshop inside a church. Leather and tomato leaf open green and sharp, the tomato leaf a shock of crushed vine between your fingers, then galbanum, labdanum, orris and clary sage build a bitter-green heart. The base is pure resin: vanilla absolute, benzoin, tolu balsam, myrrh, opoponax over more leather and sandalwood. It is balsamic, dark, almost medicinal, the tomato leaf keeps it strange, the resins keep it heavy. Fascinating, but this is advanced-placement leather. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
