An oriental floral for women, launched as the 2019 Edition of Elixir Pour Femme. Bergamot opens into raspberry, rose de Mai, peach, violet, heliotrope, ylang-ylang, jasmine, geranium and lily-of-the-valley, over musk, vanilla, cashmere wood, orris, violet leaf, ambrette, sandalwood, cedar and cinnamon.
Scent story
To me this is a powder room in a palace. Bergamot flashes bright, then raspberry, rose de Mai, peach, violet and a whole bouquet of white flowers tumble out, sweet and powdery, the heliotrope and violet leaf making it smell like face powder from another century, in the best way. Musk, vanilla, cashmere wood, orris and violet leaf in the base make it soft as talc, cinnamon adding just a wink of warmth. It is fruity, floral, powdery, everything a classic feminine oriental should be, executed flawlessly. Pretty in the most luxurious way. Beginner-friendly.
