Scent story

To me this is a Berlin courtyard in May — citron split open on a stone table, sharp and green-gold, ginger grated fresh beside it. The woods underneath are the old courtyard doors, musk and ambergris the warm air rising off the stones. The ambergris is salty and warm, like sun on skin after swimming, and it gives the sharp citron somewhere soft to land — citrus with a heartbeat. A city exclusive that smells like the city waking up: acidic, candied, alive. Citrus for people who think they do not like citrus. Beginner-friendly.
