To me this smells like a Scottish coastline in July — which sounds cold, but the sun is actually out. Juniper berries crushed underfoot on a cliff path, mint and yuzu bright as cold lemonade, thyme growing wild between the rocks. The sea is right there, throwing salt at everything. Driftwood and gorse — that coconut-vanilla smell gorse flowers get in summer — dry in the sun, and white musk settles like a clean cotton shirt. It's the rare summer scent that isn't sweet: green, salty, windswept, the smell of walking too far and not minding. Beginner-friendly.
