Composition
Burberry Body Tender was launched in 2013, created by Michel Almairac as a lighter flanker to the 2011 Burberry Body. Wormwood, apple, lemon and peach open over a heart of rose, tea, jasmine and sandalwood, with musk, cashmere wood, amber and vanilla at the base. It is a fresher, more delicate interpretation of the original.
This smells like Sunday morning in bed with the windows open — apple and peach and lemon on the nightstand, a cup of rose tea going lukewarm beside you, jasmine drifting in from somewhere outside. The wormwood gives it the faintest bitter-green edge, like the smell of a garden just before you wake fully. As it warms on skin it turns to cashmere: musk, amber, vanilla, and soft woods blurring into something that smells like your own skin, only better. It is tenderness in a bottle — no sharp corners anywhere. I recommend this to anyone who says perfume gives them a headache. Beginner-friendly.
