Composition
Burberry Hero Parfum was launched in 2024 as the most concentrated edition of the Hero line. It opens with amyris over a cedarwood heart, with cypriol oil (nagarmotha) in the base. The composition triples down on the line's signature woody character in a darker, earthier register.
One note dominates here and it is unforgettable — nagarmotha, the earthy, smoky, almost medicinal root, rising through dry cedarwood like smoke through floorboards. Amyris adds a balsamic warmth, but this is fundamentally a scent about wood and earth and smoke. It smells like a bonfire in a pine forest, or the inside of a sadhu's hut — austere, meditative, and completely uninterested in being liked by everyone. There is something almost Ayurvedic about it — the nagarmotha root has been used in traditional medicine for centuries, and you can smell the seriousness. It is not a scent; it is a practice. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
