Composition
Aqua Sextius (2014) is a woody aquatic extrait by Cécile Zarokian, named for Aix-en-Provence (Aqua Sextius), where the founders married. Citrus zests, tea and mimosa open it; sea notes, fig, pine needles and white flowers form the heart; musk, oakmoss, cedar, amber, guaiac wood and labdanum ground the base.
Aqua Sextius is Provence in a bottle: sparkling citrus cooled by tea, a salty fig-and-sea heart, and a warm resinous woody base that reads like a modern chypre. Luminous, elegant, endlessly wearable -- and a natural fit for Indian summers. Beginners: the house's easiest fresh scent; blind-buy safe for citrus-aquatic lovers.
