Composition
Ambrette 9 is Le Labo's 2006 rarity by Michel Almairac, built on ambrette seed — the only musky scent made by nature itself. Amalfi lemon, aldehydes and pear open into ambrette, over musk and amber. Fresh, soft and clean — originally meant for babies and mothers, now a minimalist skin scent.
This smells like the softest thing you own. Amalfi lemon, aldehydes and pear open bright and clean — like sunlight on fresh linen — and then the ambrette seed unfolds: the only musk nature makes itself, warm and skin-like and impossibly gentle. Musk and amber hold it close, barely there, like the smell of a baby's head or your own wrist on a good day. Originally made for mothers and babies, and it shows — this is minimalism as tenderness. The quietest luxury in the Le Labo line. Beginner-friendly.
