Composition
A woody aromatic marine fragrance by Pierre Montale: grapefruit, grass and black currant open into sea notes, sea salt, orange blossom and driftwood, over white musk and seaweed.
To me this smells like standing on the rocks at Marine Drive during high tide — grass green and windswept, grapefruit sharp as sea spray, black currant dark as the water. Then the wave hits: sea notes, sea salt, that clean mineral rush of the ocean breathing. Orange blossom drifts through like flowers from a nearby vendor, driftwood pale and sun-bleached, and it settles into white musk and seaweed — clean, salty, skin-close, like you've been swimming all day. Marine, fresh, free. The smell of the sea deciding to follow you home. Beginner-friendly.
