Composition
Aoud Lemon Mintby Mancerais a Woody Aromatic fragrance for women and men.Aoud Lemon Mintwas launched in 2016. The nose behind this fragrance is Pierre Montale. Top notes are Lemon, Almond, Black Pepper and Coriander; middle notes are Agarwood (Oud), Patchouli, Egyptian Jasmine and Mint; base notes are Vanilla, White Musk, Amber, Leather and Vetiver.
To me this smells like biting into a lemon in the middle of a spice market, sharp and electric, with black pepper crackling at the edges and coriander humming underneath. Then something darker walks in: oud, deep and resinous, pulling the whole bright opening into shadow. Mint runs through the middle like a cold river, keeping it from ever getting too heavy, while almond and vanilla soften the oud's rough edges. Leather and patchouli give the drydown a worn, lived-in feel, like a good jacket. It is a strange and beautiful tug-of-war between light and dark, and I cannot stop sniffing my wrist. Not for beginners — the oud and leather make this a wild ride.
