Composition
Uden, from Xerjoff's Shooting Stars collection, is a citrus-vanilla eau de parfum. It opens with lemon and grapefruit, develops a heart of rum, guaiac wood, sandalwood and rose, and settles into vanilla, coffee, musk and ambergris.
To me this smells like a library that serves cocktails — lemon and grapefruit bright as the windows, rum dark and golden in a crystal glass, guaiac wood and sandalwood polished as the shelves. Rose blooms unexpectedly between the books, vanilla and coffee rich as a midnight conversation. Musk and ambergris keep it smooth and close. It is Xerjoff's quiet indulgence: boozy, woody, and dangerously easy to love. The coffee deepens through the evening, dark and rich, like the conversation getting better after midnight.
