Top notes are Palisander Rosewood, Lavender, Cinnamon and Apple; middle notes are Rose, Cedar and Lily-of-the-Valley; base notes are Agarwood (Oud), Sandalwood, Amber, Vanilla and Musk.
Scent story
To me it smells like a royal durbar from another century, the air thick with everything at once. Lavender and bulgarian rose open over cardamom and cumin — aromatic, almost culinary — and then the heart hits: oud, amber, orris, civet, wormwood, clary sage, mint, a whole apothecary of dark and green things swirling together. Vanilla, australian sandalwood and musk try to soften the landing, and mostly they succeed. This is Xerjoff at its most maximalist — dense, ancient, overwhelming in the best possible way. It does not wear you. You survive it. Not for beginners. Beginners stay away.
