Black Orchid is the dark flower that started a cult — black truffle and dark florals over patchouli, incense and bitter chocolate. To me it smells like a greenhouse at midnight: orchids blooming black in the dark, damp earth, something rich and slightly forbidden in the air. It is opulent and strange, luxurious in a way that feels almost decadent. People either fall in love instantly or find it too much — there is no middle ground with this one. Not for beginners. Beginners stay away — this orchid blooms only for the bold.
