Composition
Burberry The Beat for Men was launched in 2008, created by Olivier Polge and Domitille Michalon Bertier. Black pepper, citron and violet open over a heart of thyme and geranium, with vetiver and woody notes in the base. The fragrance was inspired by London's music scene and the beat of the city.
This is a Friday evening in Bandra. Black pepper and citron snap open like the first drink of the night, violet leaf keeping it smooth rather than sharp. Thyme and geranium hum in the middle — herbal, a little wild, like the energy of a street full of bars — and vetiver anchors it all, green and grounded. It smells like a leather jacket and a plan. Woody, fresh, quietly confident. Not the loudest thing in the room, but the one people remember. Easy to wear, hard to get wrong. Beginner-friendly.
