Composition
Summanus (2020) is a spicy woody extrait composed by Christian Provenzano, named for the Roman god of nocturnal thunder. Cardamom, black pepper, pine and citrus open it; Bulgarian rose, amber and cognac form the heart; sandalwood, nagarmotha, cedar and tonka ground the base.
Summanus is a thunderstorm at midnight: electric cardamom and black pepper crackle first, then rose and cognac glow in the heart, and smoky sandalwood with nagarmotha rumbles through the base. Dark, magnetic, unforgettable. Beginners: bold spice — sample before buying.
