Composition
Platinum Muscus (2014) is a floral woody musk that dresses musk's animalic warmth in a cool, modern sheen. Green notes open; rose, iris, jasmine and warm spices fill the heart; guaiac wood, patchouli, musk and amber ground the base.
Platinum Muscus treats musk as the Romans did — as both fixative and fragrance — but gives it a sleek metallic polish: piney sandalwood, clove and cinnamon over a bed of patchouli and amber, with rose and iris keeping it refined. Warm and glacial at once. Beginners will enjoy its musky comfort, though the spice has presence.
