Composition
Shalimar Souffle Intense is a feminine eau de parfum from Guerlain, launched in 2015. It opens with Bergamot, Lemon and Mandarin Orange. The heart reveals Orange Blossom and Jasmine settling into a base of Indian Vanilla, Tahitian Vanilla, Benzoin and White Musk. Its character is defined by Citrus, Vanilla and White Floral accords.
To me this smells like Shalimar after a long exhale — bergamot, lemon and mandarin bright as morning light on the Taj, then orange blossom and jasmine floating soft as the mist off the Yamuna. It's the legend, lightened. The vanillas are the soul here: Indian vanilla deep and almost smoky, Tahitian vanilla creamy and floral, benzoin glowing underneath like a diya. White musk keeps it all weightless, a souffle that never collapses. Intense in name, gentle in nature — the Shalimar for people who found the original too much. Beginner-friendly.
