To me this smells like a morning in a hill-station kitchen garden after rain — crushed green mandarin leaves, fingers sticky with rhubarb stalks, that sweet-tart crunch you can almost taste. The aldehydes give it a champagne-bubble fizz, like sunlight on wet leaves, and then the white musk settles over everything like a freshly washed cotton kurta. It is the most uncomplicated kind of pretty — bright, green, a little tangy, gone before lunch but lovely while it lasts. Beginner-friendly.
