Perseus is a woody-aromatic eau de parfum for men by Nathalie Templer, launched in 2024. It opens with grapefruit, bergamot and black currant, develops vetiver, green mandarin and geranium in the heart, and settles into dry wood, cashmere wood, ambergris, cedar, balsam fir and tonka bean.
To me this smells like a hero coming home from the sea. Grapefruit and bergamot crash bright and salty, black currant adding a dark-sweet undertow. Then the green heart: vetiver like wet grass on coastal cliffs, green mandarin sharp as sea wind, geranium herbal and clean. The base is the ship itself — dry wood, cashmere wood, cedar, balsam fir — with ambergris like salt dried on skin and tonka smoothing it all into something warm. Fresh, woody, and quietly epic. It does not shout about slaying monsters; it just smells like someone who has. Beginner-friendly.
