To me it smells like powdered marble and bitter almonds — bergamot and heliotrope opening soft as dust, lavender and bitter almond in the middle like marzipan in a cathedral, vanilla and sandalwood warming the base into something regal. It is distinctive in a way few scents dare: powdery, almond-sweet, utterly debonair. Like a white horse, it does not blend into the herd. Powdery and distinctive — an elegant pick for beginners.
