Composition
Craze by Armaf is an eau de parfum for men, launched in 2015. It opens with Heliotrope, Cumin and Bergamot; the heart features Bitter Almond, Lavender, Jasmine and Sage; and the base is Vanilla, Amber and Sandalwood. The composition reads predominantly almond, vanilla and powdery.
This is a bakery at 6am, and I mean that as the highest compliment. Heliotrope and cumin open — powdery almond and a whisper of warm spice, like the first tray coming out of the oven — bergamot keeping it bright, and then bitter almond, lavender, jasmine and sage bloom, sweet and aromatic, like marzipan cooling on a rack. Vanilla, amber and sandalwood dry it down into pure comfort, warm and powdery and delicious. It's sweet without being childish, gourmand without being heavy. A cozy scent for cold mornings. Beginner-friendly.
