Composition
Zara's early, much-loved take on a rosy oud. Raspberry and saffron open onto rose, palisander rosewood and iris, drying down to agarwood, vanilla, woods and leather. Smooth, dark and syrupy for the price, often compared to pricier velvet-rose-and-oud scents.
To me this smells like the engine room of a vintage car, raspberry and saffron over oil and worn leather seats. And then the middle opens: rose, rosewood and iris, rich without shouting, like a second act. And the rosewood never quite leaves, smooth as poured honey. Hours later it rests on oud, vanilla, woods and leather — velvet-dark and calm, the part that stays with you. The whole thing feels like the front row of your own life.
