Composition
From Zara's 2022 Oud Collection: the most contemporary of the line. Luminous orange blossom and juicy black currant meet pink pepper's sparkle, blooming into red rose, lily of the valley and leathery saffron over warm amber, cozy musk and a touch of oud. Sweet, fruity, sensual and well-blended.
To me this smells like a powder room in an old Delhi haveli, orange blossom, blackcurrant and pink pepper lingering in the curtains and the cut-glass bottles. Then lily of the valley, red roses and saffron deepen in, quietly confident, like the scene settling around you. Last of all come amber, musk and oud, steady as a heartbeat, like embers after the fire. It smells like a slow Sunday with nowhere to be, bottled. Beginner-friendly — the kind of scent strangers ask about.
