Red Temptation is Zara's 2020 Eau de Parfum for women, built around a rich amber core wrapped in saffron, praline and moss. It opens with bitter orange, saffron and coriander over a heart of praline and jasmine, drying down to amber, moss and musk. Widely noted as a close, affordable take on the Baccarat Rouge 540 style.
Scent story
The first spray is all burnt sugar and saffron — sweet, slightly medicinal, unmistakably in the Baccarat Rouge family. The praline keeps it gourmand and cosy while the moss and amber underneath stop it from becoming a pure candy bomb. On Indian skin in air-conditioned offices or winter evenings it blooms beautifully and lasts; in peak summer heat it can turn cloying, so go light. An excellent, very beginner-friendly way to try the BR540 genre for a fraction of the price.
