Composition
Only The Brave is Diesel's 2009 Eau de Toilette for men, created by Alienor Massenet, Olivier Polge and Pierre Wargnye as an oriental-woody tribute to founder Renzo Rosso. Amalfi lemon and mandarin open over violet, cedar and coriander, drying down to amber, leather, benzoin, labdanum and styrax. It arrives in the sculpted smoky-glass fist flacon with a silver Diesel ring.
The opening is a bright, sparkling citrus — lemon and mandarin with a modern leather edge. Violet and coriander give the heart a slightly powdery, aromatic lift, and the base is where it turns warm and masculine: golden amber, smooth leather and sweet resins. It is confident and easy to like, with a sweet-ambery dry-down that wears well into the evening. In India this works as a versatile all-rounder from October to March; in peak summer the amber sweetness can feel heavy. A solid, beginner-friendly designer pick — affordable, inoffensive and quietly charismatic.
