Bad is Diesel's 2016 Eau de Toilette for men, created by Anne Flipo and Carlos Benaïm as a woody-aromatic built around tobacco and caviar. Lavender, bergamot, cardamom and violet leaf open over a heart of caviar, orris root and sage, drying down to woods, tobacco, ambroxan, tonka bean and patchouli. It arrives in the black leather-textured bottle with the embossed BAD lettering.
Scent story
The opening is fresh and intriguing — lavender and bergamot with cardamom spice and a green, airy violet leaf. The caviar heart adds a subtle salty, almost mineral edge that makes it stand out from typical sweet designer scents. Then the base turns warm and addictive: tobacco, creamy tonka bean and ambroxan over soft woods. It is smooth, modern and quietly seductive rather than loud. In India this is an excellent evening and date-night scent from October to February; the sweetness sits well in air-conditioned spaces. Very beginner-friendly — a safe, mass-appealing designer scent with just enough edge to feel interesting.
