Composition
A liquorous rose with a candied date accord by Aliénor Massenet, inspired by the Parisian Odéon district. Rose and rose jam open into sandalwood, patchouli and cashmeran, over tonka bean, amber and musk.
To me this smells like a Parisian café where the dessert menu is the main event — rose and rose jam arriving sticky and red, like candied petals in a glass case. The rose is deep red and jammy, like rose petals preserved in sugar. Sandalwood, patchouli and cashmeran melt underneath into something creamy and liquorous, and tonka, amber and musk settle into a warm, sweet glow. A liquorous rose, unashamed of its sweetness. It smells like being in love in a city that encourages it. Beginner-friendly.
