Scent story

Nisean opens bright and peppery — grapefruit and lime snapping like a cold towel — then the incense arrives: olibanum and labdanum smouldering softly, saffron adding its leathery warmth, a whisper of rose keeping it from turning austere. The base is all dark woods and patchouli, earthy and resonant, like the inside of an old temple. It is one of PdM's most understated compositions, more meditative than magnetic. In India it wears beautifully year-round, especially in the evening; the incense reads natural rather than churchy. A good pick for beginners curious about incense fragrances without committing to full smoke.
