Composition
"Nemer" is Arabic for tiger — this fragrance of passion and freedom is built on precious tigerwood, a striped oud obtained when wood corm is struck by the tiger's claws. Saffron, lemongrass, black pepper and ylang-ylang open into Turkish and Moroccan rose, over Indonesian patchouli, cypriol, sandalwood, moss, cedar, cashmere wood, amber, vanilla and musk.
To me this is a tiger moving through a rose garden at night. Saffron, lemongrass and black pepper open sharp and electric, then Moroccan and Turkish rose bloom, dark red and velvety. But underneath the roses: patchouli, moss, cypriol, smoky, earthy, wild. The tigerwood story is marketing, but the smoke is real. It is a rose for people who find most roses too polite, green, smoky, feral at the edges. Beautiful, but it has claws. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
