Memoir Womanby Amouageis a Chypre fragrance for women.Memoir Womanwas launched in 2010. Memoir Woman was created by Daniel Maurel and Dorothée Piot. Top notes are Wormwood, Cardamom, Pink Pepper and Mandarin Orange; middle notes are Incense, Clove, Woodsy Notes, Rose, White Flowers, Pepper and Jasmine; base notes are Leather, French labdanum, Castoreum, Styrax, oak moss and Musk.
Scent story
To me this smells like a vintage trunk pried open after decades — letters tied with ribbon, a leather diary, dried flowers crumbling to dust, and underneath it all something dark and animalic that makes you catch your breath. The castoreum is unmistakable: that wild, leathery growl that no amount of rose and jasmine can quite tame. It is the most feral thing Amouage ever put in a women's bottle, and I mean that as the highest compliment. Gorgeous, strange, and not interested in your comfort. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
