Composition
A 2020 release from the Le Donne di Masque collection. Chestnut, whipped cream and cumin open into tuberose, cypress and geranium, over milk, vanilla pod, musk and tonka bean. A milky, gourmand floral.
To me this smells like a French patisserie that wandered into an Indian winter — chestnuts roasting on a street cart outside, whipped cream and warm milk steaming inside, vanilla pods split open on the counter. It's the coziest thing Masque Milano ever made. The cumin is the plot twist: a savory, almost sweaty warmth threading through the tuberose, like a secret ingredient you can't quite name. Cypress and geranium keep it green at the edges, stopping the gourmand from collapsing into pure pudding, and tonka and musk tuck it all into something soft and skin-warm. Madeleines, but make them mysterious. Beginner-friendly.
