Composition
An oriental-floral eau de parfum from Paris Corner's Emir Lueur d'Espoir series. Saffron and pink pepper open with warm spice, a heart of Bulgarian rose follows, and oud with ambergris settles the base.
To me this smells like a rose dipped in gold and set on fire — very, very slowly. Bulgarian rose first, dark and velvety, then saffron and pink pepper striking like a match: metallic, spicy, electric. The oud rises underneath like smoke from a distant dargah, animalic and ancient, with ambergris giving it that salty, skin-like glow. This is not a pretty rose. It is a rose with a past, worn by someone who does not explain themselves. Rich, dark, and unapologetically intense — it will fill a room before you enter it. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
