Composition
Guerlain's 2014 Eau de Toilette for men by Thierry Wasser, built on three accords: sparkling citrus, a sensual amaretto-like almond heart and a powerful woody-leather base. Citruses, orange blossom, rosemary and bitter orange open over almond and tonka bean, drying down to leather, cedar and vetiver.
Bright citruses and aromatic rosemary open with an orange-blossom sparkle — crisp, intelligent, modern. Then the famous amaretto accord unfolds: creamy almond and tonka bean, sweet yet sophisticated, like marzipan at a Parisian patisserie. The base grounds everything in supple leather, dry cedar and vetiver — masculine and refined. An excellent year-round Indian office scent: fresh enough for summer days, warm enough for winter evenings. Very beginner-friendly — smooth, crowd-pleasing, and endlessly wearable.
