Composition
A bewitching nectar of citrus and velvety fruits, by Pierre Montale: pear, white peach, lemon, green apple, caramel, Sicilian orange and black currant open into jasmine, ambergris, violet and Bulgarian rose, over white musk, Madagascar vanilla and sandalwood.
To me this smells like a secret garden behind a farmhouse — pear and white peach, green apple crisp as a bite, lemon sparkling, all of it drizzled with caramel like someone's making a tarte tatin in the kitchen. Black currant and Sicilian orange add a dark-juicy edge. Jasmine and Bulgarian rose bloom through the fruit, violet powdery-soft, ambergris giving it that expensive glow. It settles into white musk and Madagascar vanilla, sandalwood creamy underneath — sweet, fruity, floral, soft as a cashmere blanket. Pure pleasure, no complications. The garden everyone wishes they had. Beginner-friendly.
