Composition
Iris Prima is a 2013 Eau de Parfum for women and men from Penhaligon's, composed by Alberto Morillas and inspired by the English National Ballet. It is a floral-woody-musk built on bergamot and pink pepper up top, iris and jasmine at the heart, and a base of leather, benzoin, vetiver, sandalwood, vanilla and amber.
Face powder, stage lights, and a leather dance bag. Iris Prima is iris at its most elegant — cool, powdery, almost cosmetic — lifted by pink pepper and warmed at the base by soft leather and sandalwood. It smells like the inside of a dancer's vanity case: refined, a little vintage, quietly luxurious. Lovely for Indian office wear and formal daytime events. Beginners curious about iris should start here — it's one of the gentlest, most wearable iris fragrances around.
