Composition
Guerlain's legendary 1965 Eau de Toilette for men by Jean-Paul Guerlain, the first oriental fragrance ever created for men and a tribute to equestrian dressage. Sparkling citrus and basil open over rose, carnation, sandalwood, cinnamon and patchouli, settling into vanilla, leather, amber, benzoin, oakmoss and labdanum.
Zesty lemon, orange and bergamot open like a sunlit riding arena — bright, crisp, unmistakably classic. The heart is dapper and daring: carnation and rose with cinnamon, sandalwood and earthy patchouli, warm and spiced. The dry-down is pure Guerlain heritage: creamy vanilla, supple leather and golden amber with a whisper of oakmoss. In India, this is a winter and evening masterpiece — bold, old-school and confident; too heavy for humid afternoons. Not for beginners — a vintage-style oriental that rewards experienced noses.
