Composition
Burberry Goddess Intense was launched in 2024, created by Amandine Clerc-Marie as a deeper flanker to the 2023 Goddess Eau de Parfum. Lavender opens over a rich heart of vanilla in four forms, with patchouli at the base. Emma Mackey fronts the campaign for this amber-vanilla interpretation.
To me this smells like a vanilla plantation at dusk, when the day's heat is finally breaking. Lavender drifts over first — cool, herbal, almost blue — then the vanillas arrive in waves: bourbon vanilla dark and boozy, vanilla absolute thick as custard, vanilla caviar sparkling at the edges. It's vanilla the way a chef understands it, not a candle. Patchouli grounds it with a whisper of earth, keeping the sweetness from floating away. Warm, golden, and quietly powerful — like confidence that doesn't need to raise its voice. Beginner-friendly.
