Givenchy Pour Homme is a Woody Spicy fragrance for men launched in 2002, created by Alberto Morillas and Ilias Ermenidis in a bottle designed by Pablo Reinoso, starting a new masculine pillar under the slogan "The gentleman is back". Fresh and woody, it opens with cool grapefruit, mandarin, coriander and violets, flows through lavender and vetiver, and rests on cedar and labdanum (olibanum).
Scent story
To me this smells like a perfectly pressed white shirt — mandarin, grapefruit, coriander and violet opening crisp and bright, and then vetiver and lavender extract in the heart, green and clean and quietly confident. Cedar and labdanum in the base add just enough warmth and resinous depth to keep it interesting. The definition of a modern classic masculine — never loud, never boring, always appropriate. The coriander adds a spicy-green sparkle that most fresh masculines skip, and the violet keeps it soft around the edges. It is the scent equivalent of showing up on time, every time, and somehow still being interesting. Beginner-friendly.
