Scent story
Elixir is Le Parfum grown up and gilded — neroli and mandarin give a bright, sparkling opening, then the iris heart unfolds powdery and cool, like silk dusted with violet powder. The benzoin-amberwood-myrrh base is warm, golden and resinous, glowing through the evening. Richer and more formal than the original, it is a beautiful winter and wedding-season choice in India. Beginners to iris and ambers should sample first.
