Eau Rose Eau de Parfum (2022) is the 'big sister' of Diptyque's 2012 eau de toilette, a denser rose by Fabrice Pellegrin. Litchi opens over Damask and Grasse roses with rose water, chamomile and a vegetal artichoke facet, on a musky woody base. A three-dimensional, modern rose — vibrant and exhilarating.
Scent story
To me this smells like a rose garden right after rain, when every petal is beaded and the air is electric. Litchi opens with a juicy sparkle, and then the roses arrive in three dimensions — Damask rose, Grasse rose, rose water — layered like a chord, with chamomile and a strange green artichoke facet keeping it from ever turning sweet or old-fashioned. Musk and pale woods dry it down clean and modern. This is the bigger, denser sister of the original: vibrant, exhilarating, and the rare rose that feels completely now. A rose for people who thought they didn't like roses. Beginner-friendly.
