Eau de Minthé is Diptyque's 2019 modern fougère from Les Eaux, inspired by the Greek nymph Minthé turned into mint. Oregon mint and nutmeg open into geranium and rose over a patchouli base. Fresh, green and aromatic — a barbershop fougère with no lavender in sight.
Scent story
To me this smells like a fougère that went on holiday and came back changed. The mint is extraordinary — fresh Oregon mint, cold and green, like crushing leaves between your palms — with nutmeg adding a warm, milky spice underneath, almost like a chai that never happened. Geranium and rose give it a soft floral heart, barbershop-familiar but lighter, and the patchouli base is earthy and clean. It is the rare fresh scent with actual character — crisp but never boring. Beginner-friendly.
