Composition
Burberry Brit Rhythm for Women was launched in 2014, created by Natalie Gracia-Cetto and Antoine Maisondieu. English lavender, pink pepper and neroli open over an orris and orange blossom heart, with musk, woodsy notes, vetiver and coumarin in the base. It was inspired by the adrenaline of live music, with Suki Waterhouse fronting the campaign.
To me this smells like the first cold morning of December in Delhi, when the air finally has an edge. English lavender and pink pepper snap awake, neroli bright as a brass band, and then orris smooths everything into powder — like the smell inside a new leather handbag mixed with fresh linen. Orange blossom and blackberry leaf keep it green and alive. Vetiver and cedar dry it down to something crisp and confident, coumarin humming underneath like a bassline. It smells like a woman who rides a motorcycle to work and still makes it to brunch. Beginner-friendly.
