Artemisia is Penhaligon's 2002 modern classic and the aromatic partner to Endymion. Nectarine and green notes open into green apple, lily-of-the-valley, jasmine, tea, violet and vanilla, over oakmoss, sandalwood, musk and amber. Soft, powdery and pastoral — a hymn to the English forest, sung on the skin.
To me this smells like a spring orchard after the rain has just stopped — nectarine and green notes, dewy and fresh, opening into green apple, lily-of-the-valley, jasmine and tea. There is something so clean and English about it, like sunlight coming through new leaves. Violet and vanilla soften the heart, and oakmoss and sandalwood ground it in something classic and mossy with amber underneath. A modern Penhaligon's classic that feels like the first warm day of the year. Beginner-friendly.
