Composition
Aoud Lagoon is an eau de parfum by Montale, launched in 2016 and composed by Pierre Montale. It opens with osmanthus and mandarin orange, flows into tiare flower and lotus, and settles on guaiac wood, vetiver and moss. Unisex, floral-aquatic and woody, it is Montale's tropical island escape.
The opening is pure vacation — juicy mandarin and apricot-like osmanthus, bright and sunny. Then the tiare flower and lotus drift in, creamy white florals with a watery freshness, like frangipani near a swimming pool. The guaiac wood and vetiver in the base keep it from floating away, adding a dry, green-wood anchor. It is one of the few Montales that genuinely suits Indian summers — fresh, uplifting, and not too heavy. Very beginner-friendly; an easy, likeable tropical floral that most people will enjoy.
