Composition
Pakistani oud softened with Indian rose and Italian iris in a woody-spicy blend. It opens with fresh rose before the herbaceous oud turns darker and sharper over a warm sandalwood base.
To me this smells like midnight in a lamplit courtyard — Agarwood oud, dark and resinous and rose, lush and velvety rising through warm, resinous air. After the bright opening, Patchouli, dark and earthy-sweet and saffron, metallic-spicy and golden take over, and everything grows warmer and more rounded. It feels like the lights dimming to a golden glow. There is a oud hum running through all of it, tying every layer together. It all settles onto Sandalwood, creamy and smooth, golden amber, warm and glowing and iris, powdery and cool, a base that feels like the last warm hour of the evening. It is equal parts comfort and confidence, and it never tries too hard. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
